The horse that started it all, and who RFE is named after .Red is a 6 year old grade Appaloosa that Kayla rescued in 2017 . Red is now living his life on partial retirement in bailey but will remain a part of this page
HARLEY
Harley is a 19 year old American quarter horse .Harley joined Kayla’s family in 2021 as her step up Barrel horse.Harley is currently looking for a retirement pasture due to medical reasons.
KITTY
Kitty is a 20 year old paint mare Kitty is our only riding lesson horse, she is vital to our program.Kitty joined Kayla’s family in 2021 . She has a past of Reined Cow horse , gymkhana ,and pleasure .
Meet Silver
Silver is a 21yr Quarter horse gelding who joined our program in 2025!
MEET EVEREST
Everest is borrowed by RFE and is leased out to some of our students . Evey is used to teach experienced kids and adults for gymkhana
Meet Ivy
Ivy joined RFE June 2025, she is Kayla’s 2026 Futurity filly. However she has a wonderful mind set and will be used lightly in our program
Meet Astrid
Astrid is only about a year old, but she is by far a favorite around here. She is used for ground work sessions.
ROCKY
Understanding Your Animals
Rocky was a major part in all of our lives , as he joined Kayla’s herd in 2013. He taught a lot of people, and was the steady eddy for years. He lived out retirement at a therapy center and returned to Kayla for the end of his years .1996-2023 Rocky will forever remain on our page.
